I love being creative...

I have loved cooking as far back as I can remember.

I was the eldest of 5 so there was always plenty of opportunity to cook in our house.

What I love more than cooking is being creative with food.

I love expressing myself with texture, colour and flavour, I find it so much fun. I have been a pescatarian for over 12 years and I do not eat dairy for the past 2 years.

The challenge for me when I am entertaining is to keep everyone happy. I love entertaining and holding events. If you have been to any of my events over the years you will know that I love the presentation.

I love serving my table buffet style with lots of colour, lots of different flavours, lots of choices for the meat eaters, the vegetarians and the vegans.

I love the idea of the grazing plate.

Michelle loves socialising with her friends. Michelle was looking recently for a grazing plate to give her friend for her birthday and during lockdown to have a picnic with her outside. Her friend is gluten free and has some intolerances. The options were very expensive and too far in lockdown or unable to be delivered on her day of choice. Anyway reached out for help.

I of course said, "I can do that."

I came up with this creation with everything gluten free including also hot quiches and small arancini balls.

Home made dips and I gave it an orange theme with orange serviettes.

So today.....

my next grazing plate was made especially for 2 of Michelle's good friends. One is vegan.

Again I took up the challenge and it was very successful.

There were vegan options and cheese for the cheese lovers. Vegan dips and bliss balls.

The chocolate mud birthday cake was vegan. The birthday cake was dressed with vegan chocolate, strawberries and raspberries and it was hit with everyone.

Food is my love language.

"COOKING IS LOVE MADE VISIBLE."
