Watermelon Smoothie.

What a gorgeous colour for today's smoothie.

I believe that if you are in tune with your body then you will know what nutrients your body needs. I was drawn to having watermelon in my smoothie today.

I must admit that unless it is a really hot day I am not usually drawn to watermelon.

There are many other fruits that I prefer.

I love the colour in a fruit platter, fruit salad or fruit sticks.

INTERESTINGLY WHEN I RESEARCHED WATERMELON I FOUND SOME FACTS THAT I DID NOT KNOW. Watermelon promotes cleansing of the kidneys. Watermelon is low in most nutrients except vit A (the content is nearly twice that of tomatoes). Watermelon is a great antioxidant alkalinizer balancer and relaxant and also great for women going through menopause..

Hence highlighting the owl today in my photo. My good friend Karina gave him to me and said the cute owl reminded her of me. (wise).


1 carrot 1 cup watermelon 1 banana 1/4 cup chia seeds 1/2 lemon Water and ice. Very refreshing. Makes 2 large glasses.
